About Yasmins Argan

I grew up with argan oil and Amlou made by my mother. My parents come from Idaougnidif, near Agadir in southern Morocco. They brought argan nuts to the Netherlands and cracked and pressed them for our family. That tradition became Yasmins Argan. We have demonstrated the craft at markets and the Beverwijk Bazaar, using a traditional stone mill from Tafraout. Our name honours the women of southern Morocco who keep this knowledge alive.

Our argan craft

Our family roots are in Idaougnidif in southern Morocco. The argan nuts are cracked by hand there. We press the oil ourselves in the Netherlands, so we know the origin and the pressing process.

Traditional southern Moroccan Amlou with roasted almonds, our own culinary argan oil and honey. Ground and mixed by us in the Netherlands.
